Chicago bands CALIFORNIA WIVES and MY GOLD MASK team up for a tour that hits the Drake Underground on this long-weekend night.
CALIFORNIA WIVES incorporate their appreciation of electronic music, more specifically bands that mixed synthetic and traditional instruments like New Order and the Cure, with an indie pop and shoe gaze sound. Their debut album, Art History, is available now through Vagrant Records.
MY GOLD MASK get experimental on their latest album, Leave Me Midnight, playing around with otherworldly guitars and electronic drums over a “wall of sound” production style to create an addictive mix of synth-influenced indie rock.
Joining the bill are:
SEAM play progressive folk-rock, with diverse influences from fellow Canadian acts City and Colour and Peter Katz, to Jason Mraz and Kings of Leon.
GO DIANA reinterprets post-punk and alternative dance traditions for the new era of rock music.
Advance tickets available at Rotate This & Soundscapes, and online at Ticketscene.
