Join the Ashkenaz Foundation for a big brass band blowout and dance party, featuring Philadelphia's Susan Watts and Montreal's Fanfare Severni.
With a family history of Klezmer artists dating back to the 19th century, Susan Watts has Klezmer love coursing through her veins. The heralded trumpeter brings her zest for life and favourite brass baby to the stage for a Yiddish party you'll talk about for years.
Fanfare Severni draws inspiration from the big band "village" sounds of Konsonans Retro, Boban Markovic and Frank London. This 7-member force dives into high energy versions of traditional Klezmer, Moldavian, Serbian, Bulgarian and Turkish melodies.
