THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT PRESENTS: THE MISANTHROPE

Wednesday April 8 PERFORMANCE @10PM_$25 $15 FOR STUDENTS UNDERGROUND

The Misanthrope is a comedic play that mocks the hypocrisies of the French upper class.

They are young. They are rich. They are french. They are cooler than you and you know it. Competition is their drug of choice. Who’s got the trendiest shoes, the best hookups, the quickest wit. This is a play about nothing that ends with a world shattering exit. Set in a bar, the Drake’s intimate Underground space makes for a natural fit.

CAST: Ted Witzel as Alceste - Reid Linforth as Philinte – Marcel Dragonieri as Oronte – Eve Wylden as Célimène – Simon Rainville as Éliante – Kat Letwin as Acaste – Spencer Evoy as Clitandre – Mairin Smit as Arsinoé – and featuring DJ Zachary Gray.

WRITTEN by Molière - TRANSLATED by Tony Harrison - DIRECTED by Johanna Schall - DRESSED by Jenny Schall - PRODUCED by the Red Light District in Association with Mirvish Productions
