Man With A Movie Camera: The Global Remake is a participatory video shot by people around the world who record images re-interpreting Dziga Vertov's Man With a Movie Camera (1929). Participants upload images to Bard's website + a custom software archives, sequences and streams the submissions as a linear film. Each contribution becomes part of this worldwide montage, shown nightly on the façade alongside the original. Sept 9-11 + 16-19 Jon Friis + Michael Lawrie present Rear Window, an interactive video installation-meets-telescope + a contemporary re-imagining of the 1954 Hitchcock ﬁlm of the same name, focusing on the symbolic relationship of audience and screen that the protagonist has with the neighbouring apartment block.
