On October 3rd from sunset to sunrise, Drake presents The Sight of Sound an evening of interactive multi-media projects, developed specifically for Nuit Blanche. These playful experiences will bring a light-hearted spirit to Toronto's night of art revelry, allowing audiences to interact with a variety of mediums such as projection, music, dance and collaborative sculpture building. ALL EVENTS ARE FREE!
Urban Echo – interactive text-based video projection, by Christopher Baker
Drake's signature installation for Nuit Blanche is a projection on the front of the building that will ask audiences “What Goes Bump In Your Nuit?” Viewers can Twitter-spond using the #bumpinyournuit hashtag or text to 416 875 0018 and watch their messages scroll up the facade for a moment before the words explode and the letters scatter across the building, making way for the next message.
Pia Bouman + YMI Dancing – Dance performance
Toronto's renowned instructor and choreographer, Pia Bouman has developed a dance performance that will respond to the messages on the building. This will take place across the street from the Drake in front of Woolfits Art Supply.
Hydraulophone – Interactive music performance
Hydraulophones are musical instruments that run on water. Part sculpture, part organ this mysterious device is as much fun to play with as it is beautiful to listen to. Join in the fun as guests experiment with this fascinating work of art!
Improbable Structures – sculpture building by The DepARTment – From: 8pm – 12am
On Nuit Blanche Drake wants you to play with your art. Here, guests are encouraged to build towers and sculptures with glowing blocks and other objects designed by the DepARTment.

Keeping up the spirit of our Quick Fix Thursdays, Drake is doing a special edition of Art For You, giving way 500 prints by internationally celebrated filmmaker and artist Guy Maddin.
